Have you ever questioned yourself about what is your true self?
Have you ever felt the changes in your personality when you’re alone and when with acquaintance?
Have you ever wondered why the changes happens?
I thought of sharing some of my experience in finding my Shadow that may help relate, identity and define Shadow of your own personality.

There is a term called Melpomene & Thalia in greek mythology, is a two faced mask that often known as happy & sad faces. It also defined as ‘the comedy and the tragedy mask’ that often used in the theatricals, musicals by the actors. Melpomene was a 'Muse of Tragedy' and Thalia was the 'Muse of Comedy'. Everyone has a shadow, a shadow that is a hidden personality of a person. It is hidden deep inside and to be known as the dark side of a human personality in psychology by Carl Jung.

Our personality changes when we are with people of certain niche, for example, For instance, myself, I put on my clown and playful mask for my family, for my friends I put of my care -free and adventurous mask, I put on my best presence and try to back myself up with some knowledge when I meet professionals and when I am alone by myself I have whole another combination of mask involves my thoughts, wonders, fears, knowledge, adventures, interests, weirdness, curiosity and more that are hidden and those I have never made visible to the world or the people around me.
We human beings has a conscious masks that turns on as they present themselves in-front of others. And the conscious ego does not show itself or everything of which a person’s absence of full conscious, being the unknown side.
We humans often tend to neglect, reject and ignore the ugly side of our personality, in which the shadow of the personality would most likely be negative. However, it is possible that one’s positive side of the person may also be buried in the person’s shadow such as anxiety and self-esteem and more.

According to Jung, “everyone carries a shadow” and the shadow has projections has its own freedom of hands that could identify its objects and it also has the ability to bring out other personality. The lesser the shadow is visible from a person’s conscious life, the darker, denser and blacker it is, for example, animal instincts, it is a suppressed behaviour from young age by their conscious side of their life.

Over the time, I realized that every human being in this world has the Mask of Melpomene, the muse of Tragedy in their life. Which we are all afraid to show off to to the world, for some it's either they couldn't or shouldn't, so that they try their best to adapt to the social standards. However, what matters the most is, even if we can't reveal our shadow to the world, it is important for us to understand what is our shadow.
